Müzikal
kariyerine swing müziğinin en popular olduğu dönemde; 1935 yılında başlayan
Frank Sinatra, aynı yıl The Hoboken Four isimli toplulukla bir yarışmada
birincilik kazandı. 1940'lı yılların başında Tommy Dorsey Orkestrası’yla sahne
alan yıldız, 31 Aralık 1942’de "Your Hit Parade” adlı radyo programında solo
şarkıcı olarak söylediği şarkılarla ülke çapında ünlendi. Müzikal kariyeri
boyunca sayısız albüme imza atan ve ödüle sahip olan sanatçı, müzik ve film
dünyasından pek çok insana ilham kaynağı oldu.
